Nonsense. Rather we believe that what you do matters. You want to work in retail, OK. Accept that wages are lower. You want to join a union, go ahead, just don't force anyone else to.

BTW, there are now MORE unionized government employees than in the private sector, and the government worker wages are substantially higher.

Walmart wages are far better than 1990 wages and they get benefits. Retail sucks because the sector deals with everyone, and jerks abound in some places. Sad to see them popping up here on the FREE Republic.

A complete reversal of how things used to be as recently as 1985. This is when "free trade' and Wall Street started kicking into high gear. Those unionized production jobs are in China, Mexico and Asia now. Of course everyone wants to work for the Gov't now. Millions of good "guy type" jobs were exported. The job market is much more feminized compared to 1985
