It's becoming clear that MSNBC anchors, hosts, and commentators are allowed to say any defamatory thing they want about the Republican presidential candidates.

On Friday, Martin Bashir asked one of his liberal guests, Goldie Taylor, "Do you think Herman Cain can spell the word 'Iraq?'" (video follows with commentary):

For the record, Cain received a Masters degree in computer science from Purdue while working full-time for the Department of the Navy as a ballistics analyst. He went on to be CEO of Godfather's Pizza, CEO of the National Restaurants Association, chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve, and has served on the Board of Directors for major companies including Nabisco and Whirlpool.

By contrast, according to Wikipedia, Bashir studied English and History at King's College in London; no degree was listed. He has been a journalist ever since.

Yet he has the nerve to question the intellectual capacity of someone far better educated and accomplished.

Bashir and Goldie Taylor have been making a habit of trashing Cain each Friday. See Ken Shepherd on that.

As I've said before, the more I see of Bashir, the more disgusted by him I am.

It simply confirms Cain is now front runner, and they do not like it. Their preference would be to run against Romney because Romney has no credibility in attacking Obamacare, one of the issues on which Zero is quite vulnerable.

In 2003, Bashir conducted a series of interviews with pop singer Michael Jackson, as part of a documentary for ITV. Following the broadcast, which was viewed by 14 million in the UK and 38 million in the US, several media personalities accused Bashir of yellow journalism, claiming that he deliberately doctored the recordings in order to paint Jackson in an unflattering light, as well as emphasising the allegations of child molestation made against Jackson. The New York Times called Bashir’s journalism style “callous self-interest masked as sympathy.”

In response, Jackson and his personal cameraman released a rebuttal interview, which showed Bashir complimenting Jackson for the “spiritual” quality of the Neverland Ranch, thus contradicting the journalist’s previous statements that it was a “dangerous place” for children. Bashir also describes Jackson as a wonderful father and says that Jackson’s relationship with his children “almost makes him weep”.

Dieter Wiesner, the pop star’s manager from 1996 to 2003, stated about the influence of Bashir’s documentary on Michael Jackson:

“It broke him. It killed him. He took a long time to die, but it started that night. Previously the drugs were a crutch, but after that they became a necessity.”

You are exactly right. I find myself wondering how many people in the US have the insight to grasp and understand the magnitude of what such a small group of people spouting lies and hate can do to a nation just because they have access to the masses through computers and a TV screen. How much better off the country would have been if TV had never been invented, so that people would have had to read to get the news. The left still would be out there but they would have to debate their madness a lot more than they do now. Herman Cain knows what he is dealing with..They are haters and they are racists..He is a man out to save his country. Good will win in the end over the scum of the earth.

I am sure Mr. Cain's scores and transcript information is out there, should I care to look, and the same is true of every other Republican candidate.

The point that we've been told for several years now to take on faith that the current occupant of the White House is "brilliant" etc but that we are not allowed to see any of his information, well, that point should be brought up every time any Republican is derided for grades, intelligence, achievement, etc.

Not only is the loony left against Herman, I was watching Brit Hume on FOX news Sunday and he is bashing Herman with quips about Herman hitting his high points and Herman's "misspeaking".

Everyone is jumping on any thing that Herman says, beats him over the head with it, blows it into sedition, and wants him to quit.

Herman is laughing and giving them the middle finger salute, and I just sent him another donation.

I get very pissed when any of the elite {including Brit Hume who is becoming very "domesticated and beltwaytized"} tell me who is/not good enough to pass their standards.
