Sarah Palin on “The Bob & Mark Show” in Alaska at 930am PST 9/16/11?

In the final episode of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” on TLC — which Governor Palin herself produced and had complete creative control over — the Governor promised to let Bob and Mark know, on the air, when she decides to run for president. Since the Governor personally chose to have that bit included in the episode, there has to be a reason for this.

“The Bob and Mark Show” broadcasts Monday through Friday. Though tomorrow is Constitution Day, today’s when Constitution Day is observed in most of the country. It’s also a day when “The Bob and Mark Show” broadcasts.

Many believe the Governor will announce her presidential bid on the show today — since she appears to indeed be scheduled as a guest at 930am PST…which is 1130am CST and 1230pm EST.

I have no idea what will happen on the show, but I’m going to tune in just in case.

If you hear anything else pertaining to this, please share the info in this thread.

It sure is interesting the Governor is booked on this show, today of all days, since restoring respect for the Constitution is one of the main planks in what’s presumed to be the Governor’s presidential platform.

Tune into “The Bob & Mark Show” to see what happens!

********************************************************

PS: I’ve been trying for a few weeks now to determine if Governor Palin has any public events scheduled for Constitution Day (observed today, or tomorrow 9/17/11). I have not been able to turn up anything, which is intriguing in itself.

We don’t know what this means yet — if anything — but I’m sure going to listen to “The Bob & Mark Show” to see if she’s really going to be on, and to listen to what the Governor says if she does in fact appear on the show.

****************************************************************

UPDATE: It looks like the source of this rumor is Simon Conway, who is a drive time radio host in Iowa, who said on Facebook that he saw something posted at a Palin supporting group about the Bob & Mark appearance before it was taken down. Conway seems like he wanted to be the first to say she was going to announce today, so he would get the attention that would come with that.

Looking at the GOP schedule of debates, though, I don’t know what to think to be honest. Rick Perry loses more steam every debate, and the next debate is not until September 22nd. It sure keeps with Governor Palin’s past announcements to declare her candidacy on a symbolic day like Constitution Day…but it also seems like part of her strategy to keep allowing Perry to further implode before she joins the race.

We all know the moment Governor Palin announces, she’ll be the sole focus, and guys like Perry won’t get the vetting and media attention they need as her opponents.

The debate after the 22nd is in October, on a day when the Governor is scheduled to give a speech on economics in Korea. Technically, she could fly back in time to participate in the debate, since she’d make up time on the 14 hour flight back to the States, though I don’t know if she’d be inclined to do this.

It seems odd for her to participate in the September 22nd debate, but then skip the one on October 18th, and then rejoin the group a debate after that…unless her intention is to begin participating in the debates after the 18th.

That would give her opponents two appearances on the stage without her to attack her, and I don’t see her allowing that to happen though.

I think even the Governor’s detractors need to admit she’s a masterful strategist who keeps everyone guessing. She really brings great excitement to American politics. Honestly, my boyfriend Justin asked what I was typing so late and I told him, and now he’s too excited to sleep and has actually woken his mother up in Arkansas to tell her to listen to this radio show. I told him not to do this, but he’s excited at the mere prospect of Governor Palin announcing today.

I don’t think even Mittens Romneycare’s own family are excited by anything he does. Let alone complete strangers.

Can you imagine someone like Justin calling his mother long distance in the middle of the night, waking her up, just to tell her there’s a chance Mitt Romney could be on an obscure radio show in Alaska later that morning — and that she would be excited and happy he did this?

Here's a link and excerpt that includes quotes of the exchange ...

Sarah Palin and The Brody File One-On-One at Iowa State Fair

Palin on whether she's going to run for president:

Palin: There is still a lot of contemplation that goes on within a family, deciding whether to engage in such a life-changing venture, putting yourself forward in the name of service, in such a position as President of the United States. So, we're still thinking about it, and the impact on family.

Family comes first in my life, and I just don't want to adversely affect the family. So, we're still talking about it, thinking about it. And that's what I want supporters to understand.

At the same time, I want to be very fair to supporters and not keep them hanging on in perpetuity. It's fair to them to give them an answer here, in short order, so that they can jump on board with someone else, and/or to decide for themselves what they want to do. So, still haven't made up my mind, haven't decided when that announcement would be yet.

David Brody: Is that short order by the end of September? October?

Palin: I think that that is a fair timeline for people, because Fall time, they can start getting engaged with different campaigns, but still thinking about it, and really, really desiring to be a participant in the positive change that needs to happen in this country.

Economy getting back on the right track. Jobs created for Americans. I want to be a part of that, whether it be as a candidate, or as a supporter of the right candidate. I'm still in that decision making phase.

Golly Laz. I’m sorry. I thought you knew she had given a time frame of end of Sept early Oct. I’d have told you if I had known you didn’t know.

You're a good egg, Deej. I've always loved posting back and forth with you.

the Governor promised to let Bob and Mark know, on the air, when she decides to run for president.”

This is truly worthy of an “LOL”.

Yet her supporters continue to take her seriously. Either she is not running and has never seriously intended to do so (hence the joke of announcing on this radio show) or she is not only not the political and strategic genius that her supporters insist she is, she is truly a political idiot.

Either way, this is a hilarious quote. I am actually surprised that Palin would say this on her reality show! IF she did, wow, is that saying something!

If we get Perry, we loose a great opportunity and the status quo (including obamacare) will be cemented in place forever.

Presidents are generally pushed by Congress. If Congress places the legislation to repeal Obamacare on his desk, he would have to be criminally insane not to sign it. I frankly prefer when the Congress sets the agenda rather than the president because Congress is closer to home and these guys have to face their constituents every 2 years.

I anticipate that more and more strong conservatives will be elected to the house and senate and the conservative agenda will continue to be pushed up from the grass roots.

With that said, I think it is imperative that we elect someone who has a history of being pro-life, pro-guns and pro-states rights. For all his faults, Perry has not waivered on any of those platforms. I doubt if he will waiver if legislation promoting those ideals is put before him.

He is the only candidate with military experience which is really the principle concern of the president. He is committed to pro-life so his judge appointments should be expected to reflect his positions on that as well.

On immigration, his stated policy positions are really no different than those of Sarah Palin (who hasn't really said much of anything on the subject except for her interview with Univision).

Finally, Perry can win the general election without that much effort. All he needs to do is to show that 1) he is not Obama and 2) he is not Sarah Palin.

Here's a better one, as it's more specific:

Sarah Palin makes a splash at the Iowa State Fair

Palin reiterated that she would make a decision in September, a deadline she said is both necessary for logistical purposes and to be fair to her supporters who are holding off joining other candidates' efforts while she makes up her mind.
And this one is a direct quote on being fair to her supporters:

Sarah Palin hits Iowa State Fair, fuels 2012 speculation

“To be fair to those supporters and potential supporters, who are waiting on figuring out what the set field will be, I want to be fair to them and make sure that they don’t feel like they are just hanging on to something that’s not going to happen.”

Here is a quote from the C4P website. I do sort of feel sorry for these good folks who followed Palin for so long:

“Spent the past FOUR HOURS listening to BAM’s show!!

And I am FED UP TO HERE!!!!

With THEM!!!
With folks who perpetuate RUMORS and GOSSIP.......ESPECIALLY myself!!!!!!!!

AND, very sad to say, with SARAH!!!

This is FAST becoming less a “strategy” than a GAME!!!

And I ain’t playing!!!
I’m ready to throw my cards down...and split the room!!!!
She’s strung us....her LOYAL SUPPORTERS....along too long now!!
She needs to, as the saying goes......”S—T....or get off the pot!!”

Right now, I’m caring LESS about whether she’ll be in or out.....than with the BROKEN RECORD of her “Haven’t decided yet.....still thinking about it!!”

Come on, Sarah, DECIDE!!!!
Sorry, folks, I LOVE her.....but she needs to STOP this game!!!! (Or “strategy”!!!)”

While I might be in error, I don’t think I posted anything abrasive until after the “STFU” and follow-on posts which I objected to primarily in demeanor. I think my last post made my point of view clear.

Every so often, I find the threads pointless, hostile, and essentially immature shouting matches. I’ll stop visiting FR for a while - sometimes years - because its difficult to have an intelligent conversation.

I don’t know you, I don’t have anything personal against you, and, as I said before, I imagine you are an intelligent person who cares about their country, or you wouldn’t be here in the first place.

Take care,

And from what I've heard he has VERY nice legs!

Oh Laz..When will you shake the shackles of Trouser Tyranny and wear a kilt?

Tell me how Palin is responsible for today. Did SHE say she'd be on? Or did people blindly follow a rumor?

Secondly she stated her time table was the end of Sept to early Oct. This is mid Sept. So people get all jacked up on a rumor and SHE'S to blame? SHE stated her time table. SHE hasn't changed it. SHE WON'T BE PUSHED.

Heh ... that second link has this in it too ...
Might she make up her mind by the end of December?

"That's still a possibility for a timetable, yes, definitely," she said. "To be fair to those supporters and potential supporters, who are waiting on figuring out what the set field will be, I want to be fair to them and make sure that they don't feel like they are just hanging on to something that's not going to happen."

Laz? In a kilt? I actually like kilts. Read a lot of Scottish history as a teen. So..........I have to correct you. It’s not a kilt. It’s a plaid.

So, the key factor you used to reach your decision on how to cast your vote for the best person to undo the disaster that is the zero presidency is the timing of a candidates formal announcement?

Rush frequently questions the wisdom of consultants who advise attacking zero will turn off independents. This ‘wisdom’ only ever applies to Republicans, never demonrats who engage in some of the most vile and vicious personal attacks. I think this is similar. Somehow, announcement timing is only a factor to be considered against Sarah.

All the easier to press them, next time. LOL j/k

I agree, Sarah Palin shouldn't be expected to debunk every rumor that appears on the Internet. In fact, it's not even a good idea to try. Because once people figure out they can get a response out of her, they will be posting rumors every day.

Palin has on several occasions mentioned a September timeframe for announcing one way or the other. There's still 14 days left so I'm not getting worked up about it.
