“day that allows and encourages any non-Africans with a sense of human decency, who realize that Africa is the heart, birthplace and breadbasket of the world and she and her people have been disproportionately disenfranchised”
As a “non-African” I take offense to the assertion that I am guilty, according to the writer, of not having any “human decency” if I do not recognize Africa as the “heart” of the world. I am also wondering how a continent with millions of starving people is the bread basket of the world. If that is true, I mean if it is indeed the bread basket, then why are so many Africans in dire need of bread? Oh, well, what can one expect from a San Francisco newspaper?
Rhodesia was the breadbasket of Africa 30 years ago or so. North Africa was the breadbasket of the Roman Empire, but only while Rome was running things there.
