You mistake me Pissant.
I asked you a question of logistics and you are ducking it with irrelevancies. The McCain-Kennedy BS had two things in it I really didn’t like and didn’t trust. McCain and Kennedy.
That bill isn’t on the table for good reason, it was a totally sucky proposal flawed in at least a dozen ways. It deserved to fail miserably. I don’t see Palin proposing the M-K bill. I see her saying that we have to find some practical solution which is logistically possible.
So, whats your solution? Kick em all out?
Ok, how do you find them? Do a Japanese internment sort of thing? That didn’t exactly work out so well. Do you (God forbid) profile people based on their looks? How do you deal with their kids who have citizenship here? Round everyone up on a few million school buses and drop em in Juarez? Container ships to Cabo San Lucas?
Come on Pissant, we have a problem which requires a practical solution which will work and do so humanely. What is your suggestion?
We can’t round them all up and put them on buses. So what do we do? Ignore the problem and fry anyone with the stones to bring it up? Is it all or nothing? There are few black and white situations in life my friend. Compromise is a fact of life. It is also how this Nation was designed, no one group is going to get everything they want and nothing that they don’t. Our government wasn’t designed to be dictatorial or one sided, compromise is a fact of life.
So how do we deal with it?
What didn’t you like about the McCain-Kennedy-Bush plan? Did you know that at the same time that Palin gave the interview to Univision with her BS about how inhumane it would be to deport the illegals and that we must give them a “pathway to citizenship”, that the McCain-Palin campaign was running ads on spanish language radio blaming Obama for the failure of the McCain-Kennedy Comprehensive Immigration Reform?
Did you know that Palin in 2010 while campaigning for McCain, when asked by Greta what she would advise McCain to do about illegal immigration had they had won in 2008, said: “I agree with him (McCain) on immigration”
Did you know that to this very day, Mccain still wants to revive Comprehensive Immigration Reform (amnesty).
IT IS AMNESTY, my friend. Pure, unadulterated amnesty. The same BS we defeated in 2007.
But now I’m curious about your question: What to do with 12 million illegals, if we aren’t going to offer them amnesty? That’s the same question all the pro-amnesty folks asked a million times in 2007, while telling us how inhumane it would be to “round them up”.
Here’s the answer: Do you know that we deport anywhere between 300,000 to 400,000 people a year. Now imagine if we actually completed the Hunter border fence (which Hunter vowed to do in six months) and for all intents and purposes cut the southern illegal entry by 90%. And then imagine that we doubled illegal immigrant crackdowns and vigorously enforced the laws against employing them. We’d bump up the deportations to 600,000 to 800,000 a year. And imagine that we added a simple law that said, if you voluntarily leave, you can reapply for a green card at the back of the line. But if we have to come find you, you will be banned for 10 years from ever even visiting the our country. In this atmosphere, the illegals would start self deporting in droves, just as they self imported. Within 5 or 6 years, the problem would be 90% solved.
What I described above is a minor variation on what Huckabee and Romney and Fred eventually came up with. It is what Hunter and Tanc had been fighting for for years.
That is the answer. Robustly enforce existing law, a major crackdown on workplace enforcement, and the Hunter Fence. 3 simple steps. And if coupled with scratching this anchor baby BS and chain migration, it will completely solve the problem.

It HAS been done before, and worked. However, today you could make a sufficient dent by deporting the ones caught, and restricting employment and government benefits to citizens. That ISN’T hard.
Do what Arizona wants to do and Obama wants to stop: When cops stop a van with 20 guys in it, none with drivers licenses and none of whom speak English - check their immigration status. Illegal? Deport.
Easy.
Of course, if that seems BIGOTED to you, we COULD adopt the laws of Mexico...
