For a war that was not about slavery, South Carolina sure did focus on their right to keep fellow human beings in bondage in their declaration to leave the Union.

I've never denied the slavery issue, however, all of the Confederate states did not secede due to slavery and that is simply fact. Now, the war wasn't waged to end slavery as Lincoln himself said on several occassions. What was it really about?

Can you name a southern state that did not list slavery as a reason for leaving the Union?
