I hope you don’t teach you children with that filthy attitude. Good luck....I would love to know what your kids are going to end up doing.....GED in hand.
Up your’s troll.
There is a **reason** the Marxists have not pushed heavily for testing of homeschoolers. If homeschoolers were forced to take tests, they would put the institutionalized kids to shame. The Marxist running the government schools don't want **that** very glaring comparison!
My own children ( who are **not** brighter than any of the children of other Freepers) thrived in homeschooling.
All three were in college at the ages of 13, 12, and 13. All three finished Calculus III and all general college general courses by the age of 15. The two younger finished B.S. degrees in math by the age of 18. One is now studying to be a register nurse. The other earned a masters in math at the age of 20 and taught in a Catholic school. She is now a full-time mom.
Homeschooling allowed the oldest to pursue full-time training in a sport. Each year he competed in the U.S. national competitions and had the privilege to represent the U.S. throughout the world as part of the U.S. team. He attended night school and studied accounting. He also choose to interrupt his studies and training for a few years and work for our church in Eastern Europe. As a result he is completely fluent in Russian. He has since retired from competition and is now in one the highest ranked masters programs in the U.S. in accounting. Although he will finish a masters at an age typical of those attending government school, his fluency in Russian and his unique travel and competition experiences will be an advantage in both work and his personal life. ( By the way...He is getting married to a beautiful young woman the day after Thanksgiving. She too is very active in our church.)
There was a time in our nation when it was **common** for young men to be in college in their early teens. With homeschooling we may see those days again.
Institutionalization of children retards the emotional, social, and academic progress of bright children, and frustrates the slower children. Children are not widgets. They are **people** and it is cruel to educate them in buildings better suited for Tyson chickens.
Wake up, narses is far from uneducated and if you truly believed in Catholic school you would know she is fairly educated in the Catholic faith.
You assertions in this post definitely make one wonder about you conservative roots for just cause. For you’re one line statement is repeated over and over again on this page (at least as far as I have read), yet no supporting info for your stance. Many a query have been sent your way, but you just spout the same line. That leave one to believe you are a troll and do not wish to truly discuss issues but rather cause a problem. Good Luck and off I go to do some educational reading.
lol... stop projecting, you pompous @ss liberal.
You call thinking that one’s children don’t belong to the State is a “filthy attitude,” order another commenter not to ping friends, and criticize yet another commenter for being unable to take criticism? Seems to me you’ve been caught out on some very plain areas of ignorance and wrongheaded thinking, and you’re responding with a spray of verbal bullets instead of admitting your several errors, learning something, growing up a bit, and moving on.
Don’t be the last to know you screwed up.
My post - at 21 - was far from charitable. My apologies. You may want to examine yours and ask yourself if you showed any real charity with what you wrote. I hope to see you post more on education and with a more open mind.
