We used to be indoctrinated that just because someone had long hair it didn’t mean they were a bad employee or a bad person. Now that I’m old I think that’s EXACTLY what it means. It means I’m going to do my own thing and you (Mr. Potential Employer) must adapt to ME not the other way around. If you aren’t even willing to cut your hair or cover your tattoos for the benefit of your career, I have to question your priorities.

You know, when I started working for myself I stopped cutting my hair. It is my Freedom flag and I haven't cut my hair in more than 20 years. I wear my tail proud. For me, it is MY freedom. I do not kow-tow to anyone else.

Wearing a pony tail does not mean that I love the constitution any less that a guy with a crew cut. Wearing a pony tail does not mean that I am a "commie", or a fag, or a pinko or anything else except a conservative veteran that loves his country and doesn't really give a damn what all those checked pants country club republicans think.
