Yes, the basic colour of your skin, whatever it may be (I don't know nor do I care), is an accident of birth. You had absolutely nothing to do with it, and you can't change it. It just is.
And you think a tattoo on a Aussie aborigine, a native African, a Arab native, an old sailor, and enlisted USN, USMC, USAF person, etc...change's the content of their character?
Change? No. I did not say that, nor did I imply that. You apparently chose to infer it, for reasons at which I cannot begin to guess. Now ... that tattoo may indicate something about his character ... or it may merely indicate the culture in which he was raised.
So...let me get this right.
I have noticed, over the years, that when somebody says that it almost always precedes a total screwup of whatever point was being made. Things aren't looking too good for you, right now ...
If you had two people that you became friends with...talked to, got to know. And both had no visible tattoo's...and you liked them both intellectually and character wise equally. You would change your opinion of them, and shun them and call them "stupid" because you found out they had a tattoo???
And ... you don't disappoint. Complete screwup, as predicted. In one particular case, learning that a friend and colleague whom I greatly respect had an old and very poorly executed motorcycle tattoo hidden under his shirt actually improved my opinion of his character. I doubt that you can understand why.
I've been known to screw up..!! Glad I didn't disappoint you. I would have hated that. : )
Thanks...you made me laugh!!
FRegards,
