Please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that the reason obama chose not to accept matching federal campaign funds?
I seem to remember some flak over this way back and it turned out that if he didn't accept federal funds it changed the certification process, giving the responsibility of certification to the party leader.
HUm... I remember the whole federal matching funds thing, but I am not sure why he would refuse other than the obvious limitations it would have put him under. Considering how much money he had, he didn’t need to do it.
Besides why give up all that corrupt money when you are corrupt as hell already?
