Would we have a crackpot inquisition?

You already have. It's called the press. Do you know how many websites and other organized efforts exist to map crazy people and/or terror suspects on free republic?

Actually, I don't quite know myself - only that there's more than a few.

These are just what passed by here in the last few days. And they're not even DU or Obama or Daily KOS.

Apart from these, there's the more serious players, like SPLC, IREHR, and the ADL/Militiawatch (Pitcavage&co).

Yep, I heard that even our founder, Jim Jackson, has been labeled a crackpot.

But, I’m concerned that there is a crackpot gap between us and the left. Not only does the left have more crackpots than we do, but their crackpots are bigger. Troubling.

A while ago someone posted here that he would have to quit coming to FR with his COLB analysis because his family thought he was spending too much time on this.

With the "Rathergate" case, things moved swiftly to a tipping point where the majority were convinced there had been a forgery. In the case of the Obama COLB, two years of "analysis" have not convinced anyone but some true believers that there is concrete evidence of a forgery.
