Obama is NOT in control of that — there is a so-called Constitution and a SC still in this counrty (I think). Nobody is in total control in a republic — there is such a thing as check and balances. Or perhaps we have already become a dictatorship.
No, I think that there are a whole lot of people scared of their own responsibility and rather keep their mouths shut. Me thinks it’s mass cowardice.
Thinking back of the elections and of McCain falling all over himself to tell the American people that his opponent would be a good president only convinces me that McCain is part of the conspiracy and that Palin is too. The American people have been handed a bill of rotten goods.
It can't by itself. It could prove he is not, but not that he is. For example it could prove he was not born in the US, and was thus not a natural born citizen. But it could not prove that his father was not a US citizen at the time of his birth, although it could prove who his father was. It would give a clue though, since it includes the birthplace of his parents.
Of course we know, and he has admited publicly, that his father was not a US citizen, but as a matter of law, that would need to proved, unless it was somehow stipulated. The absence of a naturalization document would be evidence, but not proof. However, entrance and exit record from the '59-'62 period showing his father coming and going from the US as a foreign national, would constitute sufficient evidence I would think. But, I don't know that such records are retained this long.
Still, given that he has a foregin national father, he cannot be a natural born citizen.
The current White House Press Secretary,Robert Gibbs, who communications director for the Obama campaign, has admitted publicly that the campaign posted that COLB. I've seen the video of the White House press briefing where he did that. I'm sure someone will have a link, or will at least know the exact date, which will allow the transcript to be viewed at The White House Press Briefings archives. He was, of course, very contemptuous of the person who asked about it.
McCain was born "in the armies of the state", which according to Vattel's "Law of Nations", just five paragraphs after paragraph 212 which contains the words:
The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.
Paragraph 217 says:
For the same reasons also, children born out of the country, in the armies of the state, or in the house of its minister at a foreign court, are reputed born in the country; for a citizen who is absent with his family, on the service of the state, but still dependent on it, and subject to its jurisdiction, cannot be considered as having quitted its territory.
McCain just didn't want to "offend" his "friends" across the aisle and in the press pit. Being eligible didn't make him a strong candidate.

The reason we point to Vattel in the matter of explolring the meaning of "natural born citizen" is that there is no legal precedent or stautes to illuminate the question.
