There sure were. A few hundred were rounded up and put into the ranks between March 1865, when the confederate congress authorized it, and the time the confederacy collapsed.

It's not the fact that there were blacks in the confederate ranks - nobody denies that. It's the fact that you Lost Causers constantly overstate their numbers and repeat the myth that their service was recognized and appreciated by their white confederate compatriots that have us shaking our heads and trying to correct the myths.
