No one built a 10,000 square foot marble greco-roman temple to Davis-Lee on the National Mall.

Nobody built one to Benedict Arnold or Tokyo Rose either.

Lincoln, the Hero Emancipator, and well known racist, has one. It's called hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy is holding Lincoln to modern standards while not holding your own rebel leaders to those same standards. Hypocrisy is condemning Lincoln as a racist while ignoring the fact that Davis and Lee and Jackson were bigger racists.

A more appropriate monument would be a butcher block and cleaver.

We can always rename the garbage dumpsters behind the Lincoln memorial as a suitable tribute to your rebel leaders. Then you could have your monument on the mall as well, since you seem so broken up about it.
