The difference is Lincoln did what he had to do and the result is he saved the nation. King Obama is doing what he is to American and the effort is to destroy the nation. One hell of a difference.

I disagree. Lincoln always wanted to find a way to reconcile his ends with the Constitution, and in 1855 he confessed to a correspondent that he could not.

Civil war allowed him to go around the Constitution using war powers, something that had been pointed out to people in the 1840's by John Quincy Adams.

I doubt that Obami has "more respect for the Constitution". He "shats" on it every day.

Still, I believe that Lincoln overstepped Constitutional intent. I believe that any group of people has the right to form their own societal compact. If Texas were to succeed from the union tomorrow, I would be there.
