Why not? Lucas Smith has been convicted several times in Iowa and spent time in prison, so been there, done that.

Assuming your claim is correct, your argument is someone who has already been to prison will have no problem lying to the federal government and returning to prison, this time in a federal prison? LOL!!! Ex cons do anything necessary to stay out of prison!

I'm suggesting that having been convicted of crimes on at least three prior occasions, the idea of perjury might not be as big a deal to him than it might be to an honest person.

Ex cons do anything necessary to stay out of prison!

Which is why you find so few repeat offenders in the slam. </sarcasm>
