I'm not sure you know all the facts.

Three local GOP county chairs voted for Scozzafatty in the first round of a special so-called election giving Scozzofatty 45% of the "vote". Since no candidate reached the required majority a second round followed and in that round a fourth party chair swithced over to Scozzafatty.

The RNC was not involved with the vote. In fact the RNCC held back support from Scozzafatty because she was fairly liberal.

It wasn't until Dede was dragged kicking and screaming to make a pledge about lower taxes, being against Cap and Trade and being against Obamacare, that the RNC finally gave her money.

Politico said Scozzafava supporters were frustrated that they faced a cash crunch, in part, because the RNC "has been virtually absent from the race and hasn't yet donated any money." “Chairman Steele hasn't put up a cent, not even the obligatory $5,000,” a New York-based GOP operative told the Web site.

All of that occured AFTER Scozzafatty finally agreed to support the conservative posistions on Cap and Trade, Obamacare and Taxes. Your claim that "the party is being untrue to the conservatives" I think is hyperbole.

You and I both may agree that Hoffman is the one to support in this election, but I'm not out there trashing the RNC for a problem they didn't create and for at least holding back money until the liberal Scozzafava agreed to support the conservative posistions on the major issues of the day.
