It then becomes the job of the Whip to get the votes. The Republicans can't even participate without the majority. That's what Newt knows and I'm sure that's why he supported her. I'm also sure he wishes he could take it back.

Newt can't take it back because he's beholden to the party.  He himself said so.  He's placed party above country and principle.

He's campaigned for Hillary on health care, works with Sharpton on education, and collaborates with Pelosi on renewable energy.  Frankly, I'm not surprised.

Newt is only looking out for numero uno.  I don't begrudge a guy out there selling books and videos.  What bothers me most is he goes around telling everyone he's advancing Conservatism.  When he's not collaborating with the left, he's endorsing it.

I hope that endorsement haunts him for the rest of his life.

Geez, what a display of total ignorance. You claim he's "beholden to the party" and then list a slew of Democrats he worked with.

You obviously know nothing about his looong march from back-bencher to Speaker and it was hardly to benefit himself. The so-called "conservatives" who trash him in this forum aren't worthy to carry his briefcase and would last 3 seconds under the barrage of hate and slander directed at him by the Left.
