Yeah, where was Gibbs' brain today in the Daily Press Briefing when he
answered that question, and how the heck did he get to that answer from the
original question anyway?!
Listen here (go to 1:25 in the video):
Gibbs 8.12.09 Daily Press Briefing (Youtube)
“... I can't tell you why somebody believes, despite all preponderance of the
evidence, that the president was born umm ... in uh ... uh ... is born here and
not somewhere else ...”
Huh ... what ?
That was really bizarre.
Bee zar indeed! The question was on the townhall meetings, not the birth issue. Yet Gibbs rambled into the birth issue, then fumbled over where to have Barry born!
Next thing ya know, Axelgreasy will not allow Gibbs out into public without a teleprompter!
LOL! What a gaffe!!! Or is it more of a Freudian slip?
I don’t usually LOL but THAT really did make me burst out laughing...and then, he thought quickly (well, as fast as he can) he says; there was a poll and 8% of people didn’t even know Hawaii was a State, so maybe that’s what has caused some of the confusion...(paraphrased.)
He’s LOSING it. Time to trot out a fresh Press Sec. this one has all been used up...
So Gibbs is in effect saying, "I can't imagine why--despite all evidence pointing in the OTHER direction--ANYONE would believe BO was born here (in the U.S.)"?
Heh heh.
Only the preponderance of the evidence Gibbs?
What Gibbs you don't have the proof? You're not completely sure to where Obama was born?
Come to think of it, Obama has never publicly stated to where he was born. Last month during the Major League All Star game, when the birth issue started to heat up, Obama in St. Louis only admitted to growing up in Hawaii. Obama are you afraid to say where you really was born?
