Discounting the letter from Abercrombie on Jan 24th when Obama supposedly said he was born at Kapiolani Medical Center, which I think Abercrombie made it up and the White House covered him after the fact,

I do however distinctly recall his saying in some video/news clip "I grew up in Hawai'i."

"grew up in" but NOT "was born in."

I recall, and I can not find it, that when asked about the “birth certificate issue” during the campaign he simply stated “We have the law on our side.”
