I thought so, too... until I was informed by other FReepers that the ones that circulated on the Internet were fake ones with some false information put on there by some guy who was out to get McCain (in regards to the issue about where he was born).
I’m not saying there doesn’t exist “fake copies” of McCain’s birth certificate, but that you’ll never find that McCain released it to the public. And from what I’ve heard from other Freepers telling me about it (when I thought different, too...), I see that this is true (i.e., no real copies, just fake ones and McCain never released it to the public).
If you don’t believe me, then just find a news source where they report McCain released it to the public (and what was his method for releasing it to the public? newspaper, campaign website? what?)...
Allowing any document to be held by a Senator Leahy committee is as good as a FOIA ... leaky was probably the source of the document from which forgery was perpetrated. The only change would have been name of hospital.
In looking this up, I came across this paragraph referring to MCCAIN!

Wasn’t (isn’t) it pretty common knowledge that McCain’s dad and grandad were both admirals in the US Navy? Did JSM really NEED to post his BC at all? He readily stated he was born in the Panama Canal Zone when his father was stationed there. The Big0 has no such “common knowledge” at all.
