So I am not sure why they have him listed as a Christian since you are not born Christian, you have to be baptized or be an Adult and make a decision to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, and believe his is the only begotten Son of GOD...
Plus thier are no Christian names just biblical names from the Old testament which would be Jewish.
That was just the English way of doing things, “Christian” didn’t imply religion “Christian name” =ed “first name”, just as “Surname”=ed Last Name
“Christian name” used to be a common way of describing a “given name” = first or first and middle name. “Family name” or “surname” meant the last name. While it’s not much used today in the United States, it was commonly used at one time in Britain, and I don’t doubt in many British colonies.
In Africa the use of “Christian name” was used to differentiate from any tribal name.
