It says “Republic of Kenya.” Kenya did not become an independent republic until 1963, and wasn’t called “Republic of Kenya” until 1964. 0bama was born in 1961, when it was called the Dominion of Kenya. In a couple of the more recent posts we have 1963 or 1964 as the official date for the use of “Republic of Kenya”

I was assuming they started calling it "Republic of Kenya" after it became a republic in 1964. In 63 it was still a one-party rule, as the blurb mentions, not a true republic. Maybe not the greatest source, but that's all I've got.
