I'm not saying they should have had the baby in the village but Mombasa is very far from the village. Nairobi, the capital city, has many hospitals and is much closer. Do we think they were touring the coast, far from their home village, on a trip to Kenya while she's days from giving birth? It just doesn't pass the common sense test.

Good point about Nairobi, I should have looked at a map. But it’s certainly possible that Baby Barack made an early appearance. Did they have relatives in Mombasa that they might have been visiting?
Everyone in the family was not necessarily in the same place. On the other hand, Obama’s grandmother said she attended the birth of Obama and she lives in the villiage far from the hospital as you have said.
It’s a mystery! Hopefully a judge will have the courage and character to get to the bottom of it.
