I watched a video on the judge and according to the guy doing the testing in his opinion the judge is not the good of a gun for protection but is good for shooting varmints. Here is the link if anyone else would like to see it.

All I can say is try it out for yourself. I've heard that line before and I have to wonder at their motives for saying that. I happen to like mine for home defence and for anti-carjacking protection.

I want to thank everyone who put their 2 cents worth in on this thread. I hope that it has help those like me who did not know where to start. I ended up getting Remington 1100 semi auto 12ga that has been modified with a 18 inch barrel and I've gotten a heat shield for the barrel and a tommy gun style forend front stock.

Now I will begin to get ammo for it and I have my eye on a 9mm carbine so I will begin to get ammo for it while I'm saving up for the carbine.

After checking around ammo is getting very hard to find. So I would strongly suggest everyone to buy it when you can.
