I would have her ask her friends if they did not know about the whites that shed blood during the civil war to abolish slavery? Or the whites that stood with the black civil rights activists during the 50s and 60s and risked injury or death? How fair is a Black History month if these points are not brought up?

Of course not. Because to include those whites would admit that whites and black fundamentally have the same goals, although that perspective is beginning to make me wonder too.

Is that why they fought the Civil War?
I thought it was a federal power grab confirming the absolute power of Washington and the lack of any real soverenty of the states.
