That's what I was thinking. If my kid is in high school and doesn't know the PC world in which we live in and why things are the way they are then I have failed in my job as a parent.

Teaching the truth to our children is sometimes hard and painful but it has to be a priority. Race relations, globull warming, ... are all topics that my family has discussed since they were little ones. Raising 2 knuckle dragging redneck conservatives is my goal.

i totally agree. if you aren’t talking about it at home, where are they going to get their ideology? the popular culture, including liberal claptrap about black history month, will fill in whatever we don’t tell them. if we don’t insure our kids heads are screwed on straight, we can’t blame anyone else for how they turn out. i am always amazed at conservatives who talk about their kids TURNING UP liberal [kind of like turning up PREGNANT! LOL] And i also disagree with whoever said that sometimes kids THINK FOR THEMSELVES despite the parental instruction. um, my kids think for themselves quite well, and think CONSERVATIVELY, because they understand the issues and why we believe what we believe. they aren’t just parroting back what they hear us say, we discuss things in depth.
