The cognitive elite tend to favor diversity and affirmative action. They say that they believe that all groups are equally intelligent, and furiously resist evidence to the contrary.

Why would someone who believes that all groups are equally intelligent support affirmative action? I REFUSE to support AA because I think all groups have equal potential. Or, it might be more correct to say that as long as everyone gets the same opportunity, I could give a rat's ass whether all are equally intelligent or not. They can use whatever intelligence they have, or not. It's up to them.

This is a very interesting article, especially since few dare address this topic.

I see the decline of intelligence every day in my hometown newspaper. The reporters often can’t write a proper article without syntax errors and even misspelling. Grammar has gone downhill and the comments on the Editorial page are often pure comedy to read.

The schools have been at fault due to their coddling and teaching that ‘every child is equal’. Don’t give little Johnny a ‘C’ because then he will feel bad.

Right now they are teaching “horizontal math” and complain because the parents don’t understand it and can’t help the children.....!

Math is math. I’ve taken every kind except calculus. Why try to invent different ways of doing it?

Every child is not equal, but the schools expect them to take the same courses and pass the same tests in order to graduate. I don’t know the solution to that other than allowing some to take technical courses that will allow them to make a decent living.

When I was a child we either passed a course or failed it and had to repeat. Parents stood with the teachers and were firm with their children. Most all learned and graduated.

I work at a southern beach resort. I see thousands of those kids this time of year. The concentration and numbers are such that I have to remind myself that these do not constitute the whole of their generation.
