I am currently thinking about getting a Kimber .45 Custom II, but am probably going to put it on hold as I would like a gun for CCW.
I tried my dad's Ruger LCP and it was very nice and light, but I would like greater stopping power with a CCW. So I was thinking about taking the plunge and getting a Kimber Ultra Carry .45. Does anyone here have one? And if so, how accuarate are they? A 3 inch barrel is about the same as the Ruger LCP I think, and I am concerned about its accuracy.
Many TIA

A Kimber Crimson Ultra
Very nice. Kimber’s quality is superb.
I am already looking at getting another Kimber. They are such sweet guns. Would love a 9mm Kimber but they are actually more expensive than the .45 in some cases! Too much for a 9mm.
The Crimson Ultra is simply a thing of beauty with the Rosewood grips. After I bought the Kimber Crimson and hit the table while getting up, I knew that I didn’t want to beat up that gun. So I went out and bought a CZ RAMI 9mm to carry most of the time. The Kimber will be for those times if and when I go to dangerous places.
it's 9 shot, always shoots & is VERY accurate to 25M. (further, it @ 1005FPS is a hotter/more effective round than the .357Mag, that i carried for years in a 2.5 inch barreled S&W Model 65. = you have to compare apples to apples.)
for SELF-defense it's hard to beat & perfectly adequate for that limited task.
what everyone SHOULD carry for CCW is a pistol/revolver that you will carry EVERY day, 24/7 AND that you can shoot ACCURATELY.
