I’ve been a Republican for 30 years now, since my first election (Reagan). I’ve threatened to leave, and most of my family has gone Constititonal or Amerian Independent, (depending on the state). This is basically the Puritan v. Pilgrim debate. Sarah actually set the model for how to behave inside the party: open mouth, start speaking truth.

That doesn't solve a thing.. third parties do nothing but lead to things like Norm Coleman trying to eek out a win against Al Franken.

What needs to be done is actually pretty simple, it happened in Utah this time around when Cannon was defeated in the primary and replaced by a conservative Republican who went on to win his election. You find viable candidates the GOP will SUPPORT and then you get people off their rears to get out and VOTE in the primary... you make change in primary not the general election.

and more... unless you get rid of fraud via ACORN, and open primaries where dems vote for OUR candidate in places like NH followed by the media hyping the winner as the crown prince of the election we will never have good presidential candidates or be able to win in the general, the democrats keep consolidating their hold over the SoS in state after state. But, third parties will only make it worse, not elect good candidate. You will never get enough money to win unless you are in the GOP or DEM party.
