Expositive facts regarding the VP candidates. One has germane bona fides. The other lies when he's not plagiarizing. Guess which is which. (the Palin details are from an email and I cannot immediately verify their provenance, which is why I'm posting this in the Backroom)

In this corner, Joe Biden:

Evidently, one has real world executive branch responsibilities. The other uses a tragedy involving the death of "loved ones" for shallow political gain.
She's protecting us from the Russians and moose. He's "protecting" us from the truth.

Biden is an excellent, skilled debater with years of experience. Palin is the clear underdog in the VP debate. That’s not to say that she has less experience than Obama. She has more than Obama.
We should demand a Palin/Obama debate.

I expect Palin to take no prisoners, she is no wilting flower. She will talk about Obama opposing the surge and his subsequent backpedalling and lying about it. Biden will not be able to counter.
These are not truly “debates,” so in this format Biden is experienced. All he has to do is wait for the next question because it will be a question favorable to his side. After all, the moderators will be PBS and NBC.
That’s fair and balanced. /sarc.
But, Biden is far more experienced, especially at this format, and the media is trying to elect the democrats, so any sane American realizes he is the odds on favorite to do best.
From all I’ve seen and read about her I don’t expert her to “defer” to Biden’s talking points.
I expect her to fight and prove herself, I expect her to point out that Biden’s “experience” is being dangerously wrong half the time, and again to point out the head of the tickets opposition to the surge which would have been a disaster. There is plenty of red meat on her table I expect her to use it.
I don’t expect her to give up either. At the same time, we already know that the media will be unfair to her. That’s a given. She’s the republican.
I also expect her to have less debating skill than a guy who’s been campaigning for 40 years, give or take a year. Biden’s a glib, quick guy. You and I both know that they’ll say he’s done best
For Pete’s sake, he should do best....especially with the media totally on his side.

I’ve no doubt she’ll fight, but the American people recognize at something like a 70% level that the media wants her and McCain to lose. It will all be tilted against her.
I’ll be happy if she does well but not great. She’ll be attacked all night by everyone in the media as well as Biden.
Biden can’t help but look good.

Palin does not do well in unscripted debate, period. Up to now she has not been tested under fire. The debate with Biden may go very poorly.
I totally disagree. Palin is at a clear, irrefutable disadvantage. If she comes out of this looking even slightly good, then she's done well.
Fact: the media is totally against the republicans. All questions of all inquisitors will be completely against her in some subtle or direct manner.
Fact: Biden's been through dozens of these for decades, mostly as a senatorial candidate and also as a presidential candidate.
Fact: Biden knows "belt-way"ese...the language of the media elite.
No one gives the advantage in this to Palin that I know of. And if they do, then they're just running interference for the media and the liberals (but I repeat myself.) :>)

I so hope you are right. I am praying for Sarah Palin and hope Biden does one of his messups. He’s done so many so I hope he does tomorrow night.
