I get sick and tired of the missile theory for Flight 800. I know from my Vietnam War readings that a surface-to-air missile warhead leaves incontrovertible evidence in the form of shrapnel embedded throughout the airplane’s wreckage. If that was the case, there would be no mystery.

Maybe you “get sick” from that theory, but I get sick of people who ignore untold CREDIBLE I-witness accounts, what gov agency actually handled the case, and a ton of other stuff by people who read some Vietnam war books.

The missile theory's take off because many people have no concept of what all the dynamics and variables involved are, and how those are contradicted by the evidence. For these theory's to work the missiles must have magical properties depending on which type of missile they imagine it to be (from the ManPad to the Sam) and also must discount the structure of the 747.

When you look at the assembled wreckage of Flight 800, it is obvious that no warheads detonated on or against it.

There was a 3rd much less known theory that I tend to buy into (non terrorist). It makes sense.

The procedures and actual results of all the testing are still secret. We just have an improbable center-tank theory for an explanation. no one outside of government agency that “investigated” knows whether there was shrapnel or not. The fact that it is all secret suggests to me an enemy action being covered up so that American Civilian aviation would not take an immediate dive or so that a sitting president wouldn’t be forced to do something hard.
