Don’t know if Rowlings knows that her books may end up saving a generation, but I will take to the mat anyone who suggests that Christians shouldn’t allow their children to read these books.

Isn't it ironic that so many Christians have taken a stand against a series that turns out to be so filled with Christian symbolism? I rejected that position way back when I read SS, against my pastor's advice. I felt like my church's position was just like The Daily Prophet, worrying about the appearance of evil while refusing to take a stand against the real evil in the world. My kids and I have read all the books multiple times. In fact, I sent a copy of DH to my 21 year old in the Navy, who couldn't wait to get his hands on it. I'm dying for all my kids to finish it so we can discuss it, like we've been doing for 10 years!

None so blind as those who will not see.... They make the mistake of the Pharisees, who elevate the written word above the Spirit Who informs it.
