That was the final impression I got. Up until then, I thought it had been wishful thinking on the part of Bellatrix, akin to that reporterette who wanted to thank Clinton in a special way for keeping abortion legal.

No, I go back to Dumbledore saying that V acts alone, and doesn't really trust anyone. Not that Bellatrix didn't want it, but I think Voldemort was above anything quite so human.

I was right there with you up until she died and Voldemort screamed. There had to be some kind of bond in there or at least a little bit of feeling. Or maybe he was p*ssed that he wasn't going to get his 3am nookie.
