"Bush did the 3 great things for conservatism. The tax cuts, Alito, Roberts.".
'Upon further review' taxes were not cut. They were deferred to the future. If government expenses are not cut, taxes are not cut.

Would Bush not sign a permanent cut bill if it came across his desk? Can Bush just arbitrarily cut taxes? Call your Congressman. That argument is bogus.

'Upon further review' taxes were not cut. They were deferred to the future. In case you didn't notice: Tax RATES were cut. This led to an increased level of growth in the economy, which benefited both the taxpayers paying the lower rates AND the government which collected a smaller percentage of a larger pie. WIN-WIN.
Of course spending needs to be controlled, but pro-growth tax rate cuts are a good thing in any case.

Not to belabor the obvious but a guy called Osama Bin Laden increased government expenses substantially. At the same time his actions precipitated a 3 year recession (that had been building under the evil practices of the Clintonista gang).
It's time for war. Someday it'll be time for peace. In the meantime every spare dime must be spent on the war and the defeat of the enemy.
The enemy must be crushed and exterminated.
Failure of any politician to comprehend that makes him or her an active enemy of the American people and their progeny.

'Upon further review' taxes were not cut. They were deferred to the future. If government expenses are not cut, taxes are not cut. Spending is very important but so are tax rates. Tax rates have been cut and this is conservative and good. Also the deficit has been shrinking for years and this is good too. Spending has increased and this is bad and at least partly Pres. Bush's fault. But still, I believe he should get some credit for the lowered tax rates.

So then taxes have never been cut?
