GAH!!! Aw, geez... just saw the show. I can’t believe Blake made it into the final. Jordin should win this in a walk — but this does indeed beg the question, has AI jumped the proverbial shark? Or will this simply be referred to later on as “that sucky season,” a blip amongst many more successful years?
I’m afraid it has jumped the shark. The reason the show sucked this year was because the judges (read: Simon) were trying too hard to pick marketable contestants instead of simply picking real talent. Real talent will always shine through, but marketing is unreliable. But AI will not recover unless the judges have learned their lesson, and I’m going to bet they haven’t.
Sigh. Too bad. I sure did enjoy LAST season!
Oh, forgot to mention ... it was terrific to see and hear Elliot! But boy, those teeth are blinding, aren’t they? He should drink some tea and coffee and make them look a little more broken-in! ;)
