I miss Lt. Dan! :)
I hope Gina stays...we need to have a pierced tongue rocker chick.
I agree that the dresses were awful tonight. Lakisha's top lokked like a size 52DDDDD bra in the Sears Catalogue.
Melinda's looked like an old grey potato sack tied in the middle.
Haley's bubble dress made her look like the purple TeleTubby.
I predict the dress will save Haley...she has that McPheever look about her.
Hi Jonny. I just got home from work. Don't know if you're still around, but I wanted to say ROFL at your humor in the comments about each singer and our guest Jedi Master. :)
He was here in Atlanta doing a concert at The Tabernacle and I hear it sold out.
If he survives tomorrow night, then just one more week.
If he makes it into the Top 10 then Idol will be stuck with him for the tour.
Suckjaya was so disturbing and frightening tonight ... I'm too scared to leave ;)
Everyone who lives in India must be voting for Sanjaya, that's the only thing I can figure. (bleeeech!)
Or a shot for everytime they say "it was just allright for me".
I like her new song and video. I see acting in a sit-com in her future.
There was a good hockey game (sabres vs. pens) and the body language chick was on Bill O'Reilly.
But seriously sometimes you watch this show and then you realize that those are 2 hours I'm not getting back.
The sweetheart of Snellville!!!
In terms of number of stations nationwide, Country radio is a small percentage of the overall radio market. In percentage terms, they are doing great. Josh especially, because he didn't get a contract from AI when he left the show. His success is coming the old-fashioned way, by Josh "paying his dues" as he climbs the ladder of stardom in Country music.
American Idol Has Massive Impact On Radio Airplay
Tuesday, March 13th 2007
-- Clarkson and Underwood Lead, while Daughtry, McPhee and Many Others Emerge --LOS ANGELES, March 13, 2007 American Idol, has had a massive impact on radio airplay since its debut six years ago, according to Mediabase, which monitors more than 1,800 radio stations 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, in more than 180 U.S. and Canadian markets. The blockbuster hit television show is now responsible for generating more than six million radio spins. This week alone, 12 former American Idol contestants are on the charts or close to making it on.
The airplay derby has been led by Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, who have dominated the radio airplay charts in recent years, among American Idol alumni. The winners of season one and four respectively, have racked up an impressive four million plus radio spins between them. Others who have become household names include Fantasia, Josh Gracin, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Chris Daughtry and 2007 Oscar and Soul Train Award Winner, Jennifer Hudson.
According to Mediabase, Clarkson has received a staggering 3.3 million spins since winning the American Idol title in its inaugural season. American Idol, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, is now midway into its sixth year of competition, translating to an average of more than 730,000 spins annually for Clarkson, since winning the coveted crown. Underwood has amassed 725,000 spins, and is firmly entrenched in the number two position, averaging more than 450,000 spins per year according to the radio monitoring firm.
"American Idol has become a dominant force in radio, particularly in the current driven formats," commented Mediabase President Rich Meyer. "The vast majority of radio programmers obviously feel that Clarkson and Underwood possess major star power and feel the same about a number of emerging Idol talent following in their footsteps. Finalists like Chris Daughtry, Katharine McPhee, Josh Gracin and Kimberley Locke are bursting on to the scene in a big way with their new releases, and other contestants like Mario Vazquez and Clay Aiken have certainly been formidable forces in radio as well."Here are the airplay leaders, September 1, 2002, through March 11, 2007.

Course...he has a lot more estrogen then I do....
that phoney little pout routine when the judges talk to him , are the epitome of phoniness, in my estimation, and yet one mroe reason why I want to slap the piss out of the lad, and at least have him declare a gender before he is voted off!
ROFL! Over on Grease: Your the one that I want (horrible show), at least the gay guys are real eye candy, even for us ladies. On AI, they stick us with limp-as-linguini Sanjaya.
(I know, I know -- there's a double entendre there, but what good is the Smoky Backroom if ya can't enjoy what it has to offer.)
Bwahahahahaha!! I sense a new Freep a poll on the horizon, "What sex is Sanjaya???? Male? Female? None of the Above? Undecided?"
If that is the case, he will need to sing "Im a little bit fluffy...Im a little bit boy Ru Paul.........."(and aint NO Donny Osmond smile gonna fix THAT, NO WAY!)
