...And what does W do? Basically panders to the dems and rino's with, "Mistakes were made!" I don't think this strategy works anymore, the country's tired of it, and Bush looks more and more moderate and unsure of himself since the trouncing the Repubs took in Nov.
If he doesn't go BTTW with Gonzolas and this obvious pansy, whiny attack from the DBM/dems, it's over!
Simon didn't even want Daughtry to go to the Hollywood Finals, let alone be the winner. Simon also tried to prevent Taylor Hicks from being advanced to Hollywood. He favored the the girl who did Over the Rainbow, can't remember her name.
That was a little pitchy, dawg..
Holy crap. It's amazing what makeup can do. She looks horrible there....I never knew.
Sorry I left so abruptly last night.
I am SO proud of Josh Gracin. Simon never thought much of him, but he's proving that Simon isn't always right.
It shows Josh's character that he didn't cash in on his Idol exposure and release a quicky CD back in 2003. He probably had offers to do just that (like Pickler). But he took a more traditional route and has earned more success because of it.
Simon isn't always right,
Simon and the other two judges really fell on their faces with the picking of the male semi-finalists this year. They were the ones who chose them, and then they just started telling them how untalented they were. Who picked them in the first place?
"After seeing that one pic you posted, she must be using fleshtone bondo & a grinder."
LMFAO!!!!!
They actually did say "bottom 3 vote getters" last night. Only Sangaya was outside the Dial Idol margin of error. Phil and Brandon were within the MOE.
"Forgot to mention, AOL Poll got it right. Brandon was on the bottom."
You happen to have a link to the AOL poll? Thanks.

Not sure I agree with the comments about Siman and Daughtry. He said in the "pre-final 12" session several times that chris was the only one who sang a song that could be on the radio right now. He was a fan for quite a while. that being said, it was the absolute best thing for Chris not to win. American Idol and Alternative Rock are polar opposites. He got all the exposure without the AI albatross for that genre.
The "girl who did Over the Rainbow" was Katherine McPhee.
Simon did become a big fan eventually. But he did not vote to send him to Hollywood in the first place. Paula and Randy outvoted him.
I just read that Peter Noone's website is saying next week is British Invasion week.
Just so. Also, he didn't whine and moan that the Marine Corps wouldn't "let" him cash in right away. He also didn't abandon his family to his sudden fame. Instead, he went back into relative obscurity, finished his enlistment, got his honorable discharge, moved his family to Nashville, and began knocking on doors. His AI exposure opened some for him, and he then got a helping hand from Trace Adkins.
He reminds me a lot of one of my childhood heros, Roger Staubach. Even though he was drafted out of the Naval Academy by the Cowboys, Roger met his commitment to the Navy (even went to Vietnam), which meant he started his pro football career late. That would have been a big disadvantage to most pro athletes, but not to the great Roger Staubach. (BTW, he and Troy Aikman now co-own a NASCAR team.)
We all have our individual tastes, of course, but I wish I was more of a fan of country music. As much as I like Josh, I still haven't bought his music. :(
Very cool. So who'll be the first to do a Monkees song. :)
Here's the link to AOL's poll....

Certainly not scientific, but it's a good "sampling" of the votes and I've found it to me far better that Dial Idol during the early part of the competition.
For the record, I don't consider someone being in the "margin of error" a good prediction when the margin of error is 9 of the 12 finalists.
Oh well...on to next week. I can't wait to hear Sanjaya sing "Daydream believer" from the Monkeys. Hopefully the Brit invasion week will send him on that last train to Clarksville.
Here are my thoughts re: Sanjaya staying.
It sucks because he truly does not have the talent to be in the top 10, let alone the top 24.
However, thinking from his standpoint, I feel sorry for the guy. He looked PISSED last night and I think he truly wants to be off the show. I think he's gotta know he is not as good, not even close, to the other contestants and each week now, he has to come out and sing the best he knows how (which isn't good).
And then he has to be berated and cut down and insulted by Simon and the other judges, and made fun of by America... Face it, it's not his call he's on the show and maybe that's why he doesn't try very hard to do better each week, because he just wants to be done with it.
Just ny $.02, but I think he feels worse than anyone that he's still there.... And, I'm glad Brandon went home. He annoyed me. I hope Phil is soon to go too.
I thought only Nielson families (with the tv log and everything) counted toward ratings ... am I wrong? I mean, how are they going to know if I'm watching their (stupid and exploitative) show or not?
If he hates it so much he can quit.
