For what it's worth, my boss was at a healthcare convention in Phoenix last week and heard Rudy speak.
He said Rudy was the most charismatic speaker he's heard since Bill Clinton. He got to the crowd, really connected with them when talking about his experiences.
Rudy for President of Toastmasters - 2008.
By the way, you help make the point that if we're using public speaking as a qualification for who we support for President, especially given the egregious opposition Giuliani has with issues important to Republicans, then we might as well vote for someone like Bill Clinton.
"Most of Clinton's policies are very similar to most of mine." - Rudy Giuliani
I read that somewhere else, but I can't remember where.
I heard him speak election night 2004. I was in Miami working for the Bush campaign, and he came to party headquarters. He really had everyone fired up, and most of them were very conservative Cuban-Americans. Very charismatic!
Rudy has been doing that ALL over the country and campaigned as hard for the party as ANYONE as well as working for individual conservatives. He was greeted with tremendous enthusiasm everywhere.
It is this wide appeal which has the Rudyphobes so panicked. They realize that should he get the nomination and win their days of Threat and Sulk are over and their influence drops precipitously.
