Everytime I see your chart I'm absolutely amazed we're even discussing the Giuliani candidacy here on FR. I know Rudy calls himself a Republican, but he's been a liberal forever! The GOP will not win in 2008 with Rudy at the top of the ticket. His support among FReepers is 12.4% right now in the current poll question, placing him in third spot. Just behind conservatives Gingrich at 31% and Hunter at 24%, with Tancredo in 4th at 10.3%. Conservatives with strong social credentials are getting a combined 65.3% of the vote. Giuliani should be down in the 1%-2% with McCain! LOL

Just to many liberals dwelling on FR these days, pretending to be conservatives. Why are they here?

The joke's on you if you actually believe that the poll results on FR reflect Republican primary voters overall. I doubt Duncan Hunter has 24% name recognition, much less support.

Gingrich is the only conservative IMHO who has a realistic chance at the 2008 nomination. All of the rest are unknown mini-mees.

I suspect that there are a LOT of GOP operatives out there who, after eight years of GWB, are not going to be enthusiatic about another candidate perceived to be from the religious right -- especially if the candidate is unknown.

If Jeb Bush was not GWB's brother he'd be the guy.

honestly i think they are the ones that want to split the party. they are here to take the gop to the left under the guise of "moderate".

The left and right has been in a tug of war-if we as conservatives pull more right, it forces the left to become more center.

some here want to pull the gop more to the left instead. if we concede and vote a liberal R we will never again have a solid conservative run in an election.

the thought of that scares the crap out of me!

this is a huge battle that i dont think most ppl clearly see.
