The Religious Right isn't the ONLY wing of the GOP, you know?
And if they "won't sell out," they just may be left wandering in the desert.
I just cannot understand why you'd be willing to hand this country over to people you know will DESTROY the progress that has been made.
Many in the religious right see no differnece between liberal rats and liberal rinos. We oppose both.
They won't "sell out" as you say. They need to be INCLUDED in
the platform and embraced by a successful candidate. Rudy Giuliani has become a wedge candidate, not a uniting one. Yes, we need to include all elements of the party in order to win. 2000 and 2004 proved that. Had any single element sat out those two elections, we would have elected Al Gore and/or John Kerry.
I really think we agree on how to win, we just disagree on who best would unite the party. Whether you agree or not, there are MILLIONS of Republicans who will not accept Rudy.
I'm a libertarian and I and most of the other libertarians here on FR will not vote for Rudy. I wish y'all would realize that a guy who turns off so many facets of the party is a very bad choice for our nominee. We need someone we can all rally around.
