Rudy Giuliani Throws Hat Into 2008 Presidential Ring
Post Chronicle ^ | 2/1/07

Posted on 02/01/2007 5:41:39 AM PST by areafiftyone

According to a source close to The Giuliani campaign, Rudy Giuliani is throwing his hat into the ring.  The Hinzsight Report confirms, through a source close to the Giuliani campaign, that he is presently sending people out into all 50 states to secure his name on the primary ballots.

"Despite Mayor Giuliani's public cautiousness, this is evidence that he is seriously pursuing the Presidency in 2008, and he should be taken very seriously.

Critical state polls have shown Mayor Giuliani leading the pack, and it's about time that he start being considered what he is--the front-runner" a source tells The Hinzsight Report.

Giuliani has lined up nearly 300 key Republican supporters in New Jersey for his bid for the 2008 presidential nomination, his campaign announced this week.

In a recent Quinnipiac University poll of New Jersey voters, it showed Giuliani leading all Republican presidential candidates and ahead of Sen. Hillary Clinton, the leading Democratic contender, in a head-to-head matchup.

The New Jersey primary, which is currently set for Feb. 26, is likely to move up to Feb. 5, placing it early in the campaign season and increasing its significance.  As many as 15 states could hold their Republican presidential primaries Feb. 5, reports Gannett.

"Kill My Aardvark?"

No thanks. SMD.

Yeah... I just saw that on another thread about Hunter. Not good. Better than being a gun hating, bigger government, RINO, NY attorney, but not good at all.

And like MOST PEOPLE here at FR, I don't have a candidate yet;

I really hate to point out when you're wrong, but YOU ARE SO WRONG!

Member Opinion
Duncan Hunter 30.8% 616
Newt Gingrich 24.3% 487
Rudy Giuliani 12.3% 246
Tom Tancredo 10.1% 202
Undecided/pass 8.3% 167
Mitt Romney 7.7% 154
Ron Paul 5.0% 100
John McCain 1.5% 31
100.0% 2,003

So, I guess that 8.3% of Free Republic qualifies as "MOST PEOPLE" in your mind.

Flame wars are so fun. It's obvious that YOU think so. Some of us have been posting the truth about Giuliani and all we get back is flames. And then there's you, in each thread, pouring gasoline onto the fire. I'm sure it provides you hours of "amusement".

OMG, were you sobbing when you posted that?

I said:

I just love seeing you morally superior types try to laud it over those you believe are too stupid to be able to make their own decisions.

and you said:

You really have a low opinion of conservatives. Don't you...

See there, you are OBSESSED with something, because you think every single remark is about you and what you believe.

I am a conservative; I love most conservatives.

I have a very low opinion of people like YOU who try to roll over people with opposite opinions.

You aren't the only conservative on this site; and you're surely not winning many people to your side.

Compromise is good sometimes.

Not on individual Rights it isn't. That's like being a "little pregnant" or a "little bit dead".

what did YOU do within the Republican Party during the last 2 elections? How many hours did you volunteer?

I did much more than you can imagine; and the main thing I did wasn't sit on an internet forum and try to force Republicans to vote the way I wanted or else.

I went out and worked AGAINST Democrats, not Republicans!

Are you saying Rudy got himself a college deferment to avoid serving in Vietnam so that he could be a lawyer. I wonder how that's going to play to the military vote...

How much longer are we going to debate that issue? I mean seriously.

We haven't had the draft for over 30 years. At some point, whether it's about Rudy or about anyone else, we have to get beyond the "he's not eligible to be elected because he didn't serve."

Yes, service is admirable.

But John Kerry, John Murtha and Jim Webb ALL served.

And none of them should be in office.

I like a full field of GOP candidates and I always wait for the first candidate debate to make my choice.

I think it's imperative to hear each articulate his views and debate his rivals.

Candidates can look great on paper, but our nominee has to be persuasive, articulate, personable, witty and sincere.

Just one of the many important lessons Reagan left behind.

Reagan must have been a RINO! /S

You are right. I have missed alot of the earlier Rudy threads because I do not post on Free Republic as often as I used to.

I can only go by what I have read on this thread and the one yesterday.

I guess I just get frustrated not so much because it is personal but because I think it is only debate we have to offer. (Of course that is not true... it just seems that way in my cynical mindset at the moment)

It does get old fast. The same thing happened on the Civil War threads. The usual suspects appear on the thread and it goes from a friendly talk about my favorite subject to a cut throat, take no prisoner, win the argument at any cost debate. And if you side with the South...why you are just a racist.

So, don't mind me. It's late and I'm tired.

You are a breath of fresh air and I have loved talking to you.

How does Hunter move forward? That is a very interesting question.

I will post some thoughts on that soon.

If that turns out to be McCain, I just may commit suicide before the election so I don't have to do it.

Good grief, don't do that.

That's just another vote for Hillary.

Republicans will support their nominee in order to defeat the Democrat, who in all likelihood will be Hillary Clinton.

That's what I was getting at. I doubted that you got off your butt and actually did some work within the Party. You say that you did. Admirable. Who did you vote for as Republican National Committeeman in your state?

Still trying to convince everyone that Hunter's squeaky clean and everyone else has a murky past, huh?

399 bounced checks is not a flash in the pan, a few maybe the fault of the banks slow processing but 399? That's gross negligence on the part of the person writing the checks, namely Hunter.

And what about this. Do you expect Republicans to adopt RAT tactics and just sweep it under the rug?
