Rudy Giuliani Throws Hat Into 2008 Presidential Ring
Post Chronicle ^ | 2/1/07

Posted on 02/01/2007 5:41:39 AM PST by areafiftyone

According to a source close to The Giuliani campaign, Rudy Giuliani is throwing his hat into the ring.  The Hinzsight Report confirms, through a source close to the Giuliani campaign, that he is presently sending people out into all 50 states to secure his name on the primary ballots.

"Despite Mayor Giuliani's public cautiousness, this is evidence that he is seriously pursuing the Presidency in 2008, and he should be taken very seriously.

Critical state polls have shown Mayor Giuliani leading the pack, and it's about time that he start being considered what he is--the front-runner" a source tells The Hinzsight Report.

Giuliani has lined up nearly 300 key Republican supporters in New Jersey for his bid for the 2008 presidential nomination, his campaign announced this week.

In a recent Quinnipiac University poll of New Jersey voters, it showed Giuliani leading all Republican presidential candidates and ahead of Sen. Hillary Clinton, the leading Democratic contender, in a head-to-head matchup.

The New Jersey primary, which is currently set for Feb. 26, is likely to move up to Feb. 5, placing it early in the campaign season and increasing its significance.  As many as 15 states could hold their Republican presidential primaries Feb. 5, reports Gannett.

People need to realise the importance of this election. Quite simply - what's more important, victory in the War on Terror or gun rights?

Gun rights. Period. The chances of being killed by a terrorist are miniscule. The chances of being exploited by a govenment out of control are much higher. Without gun rights, the War on Terror is not worth fighting.

Hillary will get you killed.

And all of this "we're going to die if Hillary is elected" hysteria is getting really old, really fast.

>>>>>Why don't you wait to hear what he has to say then. If none of these quotes (including the ones that you put up) are to your satisfaction and don't answer your question, why not wait until he is asked. Because you know that he will be asked!

We've covered this before. Posting Rudy`s comments are a two way deal. His remarks on most issues have come back to haunt him. The SCOTUS issue is a prime example. What you want to do is give Rudy the benefit of the doubt, and give him every opportunity to recant his past public statements. Rudy has been a lifelong liberal. Before he was mayor, during the time he was mayor and during the last five years, Rudy has had ample chances to alter his liberal positions. That hasn't happened. And its too late now.

What's amazing is that some of them seem to manage to "work" more than one thread at a time; now that's dedication!

It would be tough with McCaniac but I would pull the lever. I'd rather see him in a dress too, before Hillary, but ole crusty needs an oil change!

Look, I'm just not the same kind of voter you are; the war on terror trumps everything for me; if you don't have that, nothing else you may value matters.

I can respect your point of view on that. Can you respect that there are people who feel the exact same way about the 2nd Amendment?

That's why all of the favorites are not conservatives,

Correction, both Romney and Hunter are MORE conservative than GWB. Romney is fiscally conservative and knows how to wield the veto pen. He balanced a budget without raising taxes and vetoed embryonic stem cell research. Both Hunter and Romney oppose amnesty and are stronger on the border security issue than GWB.

i>If they think she's using two screennames, they'll take care of it.

I bet he did already! His squealing must be embarrassing to him when he was told that it's none of his business!! BTW, I am a "HE"!! Would you still defend me???? LMAO It's that JMC813 who asked me to go out with him! So I called him on it, complimented his coming out of the closet on FR and asked him to vote for pro-gay Rudy. I know where all this came from; stereotyping women, apparently some here don't know that men pray for Austin too!! LOL

With real Second Amendment Rights protections in place, 9-11 would never have happened the way it did. There might have been a shoot out on those planes, but the 3000+/- that died at the WTC would still be alive.

I'd rather be able to fight back than be slaughtered like a sheep.

Rudy doesn't like guns. He's part of the problem, not the solution.

just hope people will put aside their differences and support whoever comes out on top

As you said up the thread, real Republicans and conservatives will.

Amen to that.

Rudy may annoy you. Hillary will get you killed.

That sums it up

No. It's dumb. I try to go out of my way to be respectful of every freepers opinion, regardless of whether I share it or not, but this "we're gonna die if Hillary is President" nonsense is the dumbest, most over-the-top thing I've ever read in al my time here on FR.

So how do you explain him being the frontrunner in the polls?

His 9/11 superstar status combined with widespread ignorance of his anti-Republican views. I mean, Oprah Winfrey herself named him "America's Mayor". How could anyone compete with that?!

Hunter wins over Romney as Hunter gets an A+ rating from Gun Owners of America. Romney gets an F.
