According to a source close to The Giuliani campaign, Rudy Giuliani is throwing his hat into the ring. The Hinzsight Report confirms, through a source close to the Giuliani campaign, that he is presently sending people out into all 50 states to secure his name on the primary ballots. "Despite Mayor Giuliani's public cautiousness, this is evidence that he is seriously pursuing the Presidency in 2008, and he should be taken very seriously. Critical state polls have shown Mayor Giuliani leading the pack, and it's about time that he start being considered what he is--the front-runner" a source tells The Hinzsight Report.
Giuliani has lined up nearly 300 key Republican supporters in New Jersey for his bid for the 2008 presidential nomination, his campaign announced this week. In a recent Quinnipiac University poll of New Jersey voters, it showed Giuliani leading all Republican presidential candidates and ahead of Sen. Hillary Clinton, the leading Democratic contender, in a head-to-head matchup. The New Jersey primary, which is currently set for Feb. 26, is likely to move up to Feb. 5, placing it early in the campaign season and increasing its significance. As many as 15 states could hold their Republican presidential primaries Feb. 5, reports Gannett. |

Pilots would not fly in such conditions. They used to years ago when the crime rate was much higher than today. If I were a pilot, I wouldn't have a problem. Again, if you have the right to choose not to patronize a no-carry airline, why would you care about a voluntary, carry-friendly airline which you would never have to use?

"If the GOP wants my vote" "...the GOP needs someone with more definition as a Conservative Republican than JulieAnnie, or else Republicans can expect to be railroaded"
"If that's the best the GOP can offer it deserves to lose."
There sure are a lot of non-Republicans here giving advice to the GOP.
Republicans will vote for their nominee.

How will pro-abortion win over anti-abortion? Because if the pro-choice candidate is not going to take any action that would be against the pro-life people, then it ceases to be an issue.
Same way that pro-choice ppl vote for pro-life candidates.
You will have some fanatics who insist on only voting for people who think like them. But for most rational folks, if it isn't going to be an issue, then it won't be an issue.

I don't think you have to be a fanatic to know that the President nominates/ appoints judges, and most of the bad stuff is from tyrants in black robes writing laws from the bench.
Judges gave us the abortion and the gay issues to contend with. Its quite rational to understand that.

I don't think you have to be a fanatic to know that the President nominates/ appoints judges, and most of the bad stuff is from tyrants in black robes writing laws from the bench. But assuming, as seems to be the case, that Rudy would appoint conservative judges who would try to interpret rather than make law -- why would his stand on abortion and gay rights matter?
It won't, any more than a pro-life GW will appoint judges that will outlaw abortion.
Any conservative judge will overturn Roe v. Wade, making it a state issue once again.
So only a fanatic who can't abide someone who thinks differently than they do will oppose such a candidate.

I don't think everyone that has the concerns I do about the election in 08 is a fanatic.

But I do think that by the time of the election anyone who votes against a candidate purely because of abortion and gays *is* a fanatic.

What if you throw in their anit-gun and pro illegal immigrant stance? Rudy will have to make it clear that he's not a gun-grabber, and I think he will. I've not seen anything yet to suggest he's got an extreme anti-gun stand.
The immigrant thing . . . unfortunately, doesn't seem to be a problem for the vast majority of our elected officials. GW being a prime example.

While he was the Republican Mayor of New York City he appointed more than 60 men and women to the Civil, Criminal, and Family Court benchs. In all of those judicial appointment not one of them was a Republican.
All of his judical appointments were either registered Liberals or registered Democrats. As the Republican Mayor he had appointment power over more than 70 full commissioners in more than 50 City agencies, yet at no time during his administration did REPUBLICANS account for more than 10% of those appointments.
He even appointed Chuck Schumers wife as the Citys Department of Transportation Commissioner.
