So Reagan wouldn't win today?

Just imagine what the bashers on FR would do to Reagan if he was running today.

After all, he too was for abortion at one time, an unforgiveable and unchangeable view, according to some around here. :-)

Yep. I am wary of the abortion litmus test when it comes to national candidates. After all, a politician's view on abortion will not persuade a woman seeking an abortion to cease her quest. And, as we all know, only women can stop abortion. Furthermore, Rudy has repeatedly said that abortion is a sad thing.

You're right. Reagan was divorced, married a pregnancy Nancy. Passed amnesty laws, the most liberal abortion legislation in the country at the time, gave us two lousy SC judges, 4 tax hikes, etc. He was great but he wasn't perfect, except in the minds of the "perfect" conservatives.
