I feel the same way about Giuliani that many Dems felt about John Kerry in '04. Virtually none of them were exited about Kerry, but they had a pathological hatred of George Bush. In a like manner, I loathe the politics of Hillary, and would only vote for Giuliani to prevent her from entering office.

That being said, I would prefer to vote for anyone other than Giuliani in the primary. Even though electing someone other than Giuliani increases the likelyhood that we will lose the general election, I'm willing to accept that loss while standing by more socially and constitutionally conservative principles.

No, the history of the GOP over the past 30 years makes it clear: social liberals lose (think Gerald Ford); social conservatives win (think Ronald Reagan).
