Why can't the RINOs compromise? They can, they just don't have to. As much as it pains me, I must accept that the vast majority of the voters in this country are NOT conservative. I will support the most conservative candidate I can in any race who has a chance of winning. There are some great conservative candidates out there who I would love to see get elected President, but they have as much chance of winning the office as Barbaro has of winnning a Triple Crown.
Oh, by the way, HONK! ;-)

I thought one of the main differences in some of us around here is that we see the NEED to compromise and are willing to, as opposed to the ones around here that wouldn't compromise on their share of a piece of cake.

It isn't so much that most people aren't conservative, it's that people are conservative on some issues and liberal on others. IMHO most people do not identify specifically as conservative or liberal, they tend to vote for who seems reasonable- and for whom they think will win.
