Personally, I prefer Tancredo although I admire "America's Mayor," and this article sheds some light on Rudy's little known conservative and courageous accomplishments.

I agree that 10% conservative doesn't make the grade. So where does George Bush come in on the conservative scale? Maybe in his best year at 20%? I think Fox and Calderon would rate him 98%!! Harriet Miers - probably 90%. The affirmative action faction in the U.S. Supreme Court case (Michigan v. Gratz, et al.) - at least 90%. The OMB for fiscal and spending restraint - about 5%. The Club for Growth on entitlement curtailment? Probably 2%.

The American people's approvel? 28%! To be fair, some polls give him 32%. WOW! With a "conservative" like that who would consider a charismatic winner like Giuliani?

Pro life concepts certainly didn't come from nonreligious ideology.

This is all an attempt to breakdown the conservative fabric and to make possible the growth of moral relativism.

Divine law supports much of the conservative social framework.

I do wonder why you don't find a libertarian forum as that sounds like where you're coming from.

Because Libertarians don't win elections, Republicans do (or at least can).

This is the abortion movement making its move on the Republican Party. Pro aborts are crawling out of the woodwork, pro-lifers are jumping ship... strange things are happening. We're taking a dark turn.

I still consider myself fairly conservative, just not a religious conservative. I'm an Objectivist at heart and have a hard time with Libertarians as they don't have a cohesive ideology in my opinion. Again, I respect those who are religious conservatives and just want to make sure that I am welcome and don't come across as a troll.

I had my affair with objectivism back in the day. Unusual that you would think that the libertarians are less cohesive in their ideology than conservatives as they are more ideological as well as logical once you assume that liberty should sit at the top of your heirarchy of values. I would think you'd be less comfortable on a conservative forum where obviously several points of conservatism do not appeal to you. BTW, Ayn Rand's philosophy was a Major impetus for the formation of the libertarian party.

1. He has solid conservative values (unlike Guiliani)

2. He is trustworthy (unlike McCain)

3. He has name recognition (unlike a few other candidates)

4. He has charisma (unlike Hunter and others)

5. He has little or no baggage from the past (unlike Gingrich)

6. He is fair and respected by people of various political persuasions (unlike others)

7. He has a good understanding of the issues and is able to explain them clearly (unlike Hillary!)

8. Even though he doesn't have governing experience, he does have experience working in the White House (unlike some, including Obama)

9. He may be the first White House press secretary who has had influence on policy decisions, as well as being one of the RNC's most popular campaign speakers

10. He is a skilled debater, winning most arguments while putting opponents and audiences at ease with his humor and charm

I know one thing, he will certainly know how to communicate his policy much better than Bush. Communication is the key.
