Nice to be here for a bit of comedy amidst all the crappy news!
Anyone wanna bet Antonella tries to put on her "Angel on a Christmas card" act tonight? Or is it going to be her "Hey, I AM a Princess so do not look at ME that way Simon" act?
(GAWD, I can not stand that haughty little wench)
"Interesting Background Information Week" continues. Jordin tells us that she wanted to play football ...
She sings "Heartbreaker". Meh. But it's certainly more engergetic than anything we heard last night.
Randy: "Better than all the boys last night."
Paula: "Each week you're getting better and better."
Simon: "Not quite as enthusiastic. A bit shrieky in the middle. Not the strongest performance we've seen from you in the past three weeks."
I voted for Jordan "01", Sabrina "02", Stephanie "05", Lakisha "06", and Melinda "08". IMO, they were the best.
Hi, just finished watching tonight's show. The ones that should go home are Antonella and Haley. Melinda and Lakisha were the best!
Again, no detailed notes from me... but the clear "losers", as in, the ones needed to be voted off, are Haley and Antonella. That said, history has shown that we're due for a "surprise" elimination, and given how shallow the guy's talent pool is, it's going to come from the girls.
I will say I'm not on the Lakisha bandwagon, and I thought the judges did her a great disservice but not providing constructive criticism -- specifically, her diction was awful; I could only follow the words because I knew the song.
I'm sure everyone else is on the Melinda train, and I've got nothing bad to say about her.
With most folks focused on Melinda and Lakisha, I think the two gals to watch for are Sabrina and Jordin. Sabrina brings a little touch of "different" to a competition that appears is going to be dominated by powerful gospel singers, as such she poses an alternative choice for voters. Jordin can't match the other power singers with her voice, but she has great personality and energy; she should connect well with the teenage voters who dominate the AI voting.
