40% of the human genome encodes things called retroelements, which are pretty much all essentially dead viruses that have inserted themselves into our genome. <5% of the human genome encodes the proteins/miRNAs/snRNAs/etc. that form us as organisms. If the human genome, at least, is proof of an author, it's proof of an author that likes parasites a lot more than it likes us.

I don't know what you wrote about the dna code is accurate. Sure doesn't sound like it. But it doesn't negate the amazing responsibility the code has in our bodies. It is far more intricate than a computer code. I mean, it's putting in motion the nano factory that is our cells and bodies. If you really look into it it is amazing and is obviously designed by an intelligence.

Yes, I've heard that before. How do scientists know that parts of our genetic makeup is virus pieces? How did they come to that conclusion? Is that the only possible explanation for the evidence?
